It seems that you can't mention Gig Harbor to anyone in the Puget Sound without them following up with "The Tides Tavern." The two just seem synonymous, and great tavern food is probably a good reason why.

We offer a great selection of wine and beer. We have our own draught beer on tap, Tides Full Scale Ale, Tides ESB Best Barrel Bitter, and Tides Peninsula Porter, brewed for The Tides Tavern by Harmon Pub & Brewery, Tacoma, Washington. We offer 40 spirits, including a few non-alcoholic brews, by the bottle/can. We serve excellent wines by the glass and by the bottle and our chamnpagne, Freixenet Cordon Negro, is available by the split or bottle.
